As the youngest member in the band, both in age and when i joined, i must say i’m really excited about where we’re headed.

i never thought that i’d get a chance to play the sort of early 90’s british guitar rock music that i grew up listening to. You see, by the time i was technical enough to play that kind of music, it was long gone or overshadowed by a new brand of garage rock brought forth by bands like The Killers and The Strokes.

i suppose you could say that the music of Shelves is nostalgic, but with the cyclical nature of music trends, i’d say we’re ahead of the curve. maybe too ahead. but someday, Dinosaur Jr. and The Stone Roses will dominate our airwaves once again -)
