First Shelves Interview

leave a comment »

Patrick wrote to me earlier in the week, asking if he could ask me some questions for an interview. I said sure. We did this over email. It was nice reflecting on why I do this. I feel bad about copying and pasting the interview here. Anyway, it’s a click away on the Walk On Music website.

Trivia: The first CD I owned came free with BigO magazine. This was 1991. I didn’t have a CD player, but I wanted one of those shiny discs. I remember opening the magazine wrap and going to my uncle’s house. I carefully placed the CD onto the tray, pressed close, then play. That’s the first time I heard an Oddfellow’s song; it’s also my first proper exposure to a local band. I was hooked. “Song About Caroline” continues to have one of the most perfect guitar solos in the world for me.
