They said it was over, they said we were wrong…

Seven Boxes of Goodness

with 2 comments

The records arrived early. They were shipped from the vinyl pressing plant in the Czech Republic on Friday. Getting a call from my wife that the records arrived shocked me as it was just Monday. Barely three days.

Seven boxes. Count them.

Each box weights 25 kg. We paid more in shipping than the total cost of vinyl records and artwork.

The kind staff at Key Production upgraded our boxes to thicker ones free of charge. I cannot recommend the place enough. Look for Kerry Wadsworth.

10 records in one box.

Ta dah.

Everything lovingly crafted by Adrian Chan, who handmade the shelf-man and its contents.

42 minutes of sonic bliss. Although it didn’t feel that way at the start. Thought the levels were too high. Actual distortion heard across all tracks. Panicked. Then got depressed. Thought we wouldn’t meet our release date. Then I saw a piece of lint on the stylus. False alarm.

Ladies and gentlemen, our debut record is ready for sale next week
